About:
Lemon Myrtle comes from. The Backhousia Citriodora plant is found in the bush of Australia. The extract of this Lemon Myrtle plant has been scientifically proven to contain the highest levels of Citral plus other compounds that effectively fight plaque bacteria. A tree found in New Zealand supplies a natural phytochemical, which has amazing antibacterial and antioxidant properties. The extract is called Totarol and is 1,000 more active than tea tree oil against the bacteria found in acne, plaque and tooth decay. All of the natural essential oils chosen to be in this toothpaste are tested and known for their antibacterial effectiveness, especially against oral bacteria. The oils are: Lemon Myrtle, Neem seed, myrrh, thyme, Anise seed, peppermint, menthol, lemon and orange. The sweetener used is Ammonium Glycyrrhizinate, which is not only natural and 50 times sweeter than sugar, but it is also anti-viral and anti-inflammatory. The flavor is lemon and peppermint fresh with a minimum of foaming. The small amount of foaming is achieved by an extract of coconut oil: lauryl polyglucose.
