Hawaiian Pacifica Spirulina was originally sourced from the wild and has been continually cultivated and conditioned to the harsh Hawaiian sunlight since 1985. This strain of Arthospira Platensis naturally produces elevated levels of Carotenoids and Phycobiliproteins as an adaptive mechanism. To minimise damaging oxidation of the Carotenes that occurs in standard dryers, Ocean Chill Drying is used which utilises very cold ocean water drawn from 600 metre depths just offshore to provide dehumidification at extremely low oxygen levels which dries the spirula in less than six seconds, retaining up to three times the Beat-Carotene of other brands, plus unique enzymes.
